I was keen to get out today as I haven’t sailed for a couple of weeks so headed over to Levington Marina at 9.30 in wall to wall sunshine, sadly it quickly clouded over:( Got some nice pics and was lucky enough to get one on the BBC local weather:) I could not park by the little launch beach and had to walk a 100m with my gear which was not a problem. The tide was very high as I carried my board to see what sail I needed, there looked abit of a breeze in the middle of the river so went with 6.5. I know the day was going to be crap when on flying away from the beach I hit a mooring bouy a foot under the water due to the high tide, luckily no damage done, then I fell in again when I hooked into my harness half way around a gybe! I had a few flying runs before the wind dropped, my sail was way too small not helped by the fact that the tide was whizzing out, if it had been coming in I might have had a betetter session. It was a bit of a slog back which took ages and I ended up out nearly two hours of rubbish, my finger joints are definitely not liking the colder weather:(
Then pack up shower and home and enjoyed a surprise afternoon with the Granddaughter, the lovely Maeva:)
